The History

It is a fascinating success story of 30+ years.

It all started in 1995. Having returned from Saudi Arabia where his ten-year long career culminated as Administration and Personnel Manager of a leading Group of Companies, Mr. P.S. Selvaratnam — Chairman / Managing Director of SelcoHR — established his overseas recruitment business to connect Sri Lankan talent with global employers.

Started in a miniature office with just two employees, it was indeed a journey of humble beginnings. But ever since — through our steadfast commitment to our core values of Integrity, Reliability, Transparency and Excellence — it has been a constant march of growth. From a 500 square feet office to 7,500 square feet, with an ever-growing team of employees, from one among others to one above others, the transformation has been phenomenal.

Looking back, it is highly gratifying. Starting with one country, Saudi Arabia, and now serving 30+ countries, 500+ satisfied employers and 50,000+ gainfully employed job seekers — the journey of 30+ years is fulfilling indeed. And that gives us the impetus to march ahead with confidence that we have been treading the right path.
