Recruitment procedure

In order to provide a planned and efficient recruitment service, we would initially require the following information from you:

    Complete terms and conditions of employment, in line with the stipulations of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).

SLBFE documentation

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) is a government institution established under a special Act of Parliament to oversee and regulate the recruitment of Sri Lankans for overseas employment. Prior approval of the SLBFE is mandatory to carry out any overseas recruitment in Sri Lanka, for which the following documents are required:

Demand Letter

Outlines the categories, headcount, salary, benefits and tenure of the roles the employer wishes to fill.

Special Power of Attorney

Authorises SelcoHR to act on the employer’s behalf for SLBFE registration, candidate selection and visa processing.

Recruitment Service Agreement

Defines the scope of services, fees, timelines and obligations between the employer and SelcoHR.

All of the above documents must be on the employer’s official letterhead bearing the official seal and signed by an authorised officer of the employer — preferably endorsed by the Embassy or High Commission of Sri Lanka.
